P/F (Cr./NCr.) on MBA Application Years Later?
Hope everyone is safe and well in the midst of everything going on.
A few other tangentially related threads/comments have been made regarding schools' transition to P/F this semester due to COVID19, but I was hoping to create a consolidated thread that specifically pertains to MBA Programs and how they might regard the following situation/scenarios:
Assuming you're a junior or senior student who has either accepted an internship within IB already or have accepted a FT offer, would the P/F (Credit/No Credit) reflect poorly on a top MBA program application (H/W/S)? Specifically, does the answer change if your school defaults its grading policy to P/F rather than opt-in P/F?
Currently trying to look at the implications of this decision in regards to a grad school application through what seems to be to of the most most "sought-after" paths here on WSO: 1) Two years IB experience as analyst --> MF/PE/HF two/three years --> MBA; or 2) Two years IB experience as analyst --> MBA --> Back to IB or other related industry (PE/MF/etc.).
Please note: I know that by far these two paths do are not the only plausible career paths, but for simplicity's sake just wanted to look at two relatively common goals of individuals (generally undergraduates, such as myself).
Do transcript marks matter materially less with the increased years of work experience (Scenario #1) or does the P/F matter regardless of how long it's been since you've graduated undergrad?
As a side note, do transcript marks (P/F) matter in regards to PE recruiting nowadays since on-cycle recruiting happens so early into the first year as an IB analyst?
Any thoughts and comments would be greatly helpful and appreciated! Stay safe everyone.

I'm also a student (upperclassman) in your shoes so take my advice with a grain of salt, but I think given the situation, taking classes P/F for this semester will not materially affect your MBA chances. The reason I say this is because nearly all the major schools across the country have implemented this policy, with half of them even making P/F mandatory, so it's likely that a good majority of fellow students will also have multiple, if not all, P/F classes on their transcripts like you would as they try to cram their harder classes this semester.
This comment makes a lot of sense, thanks!
I don't think adcoms will give two shits. Your GMAT, bank, buy side job, letters of rec, and EC's will matter alot more than your GPA for one semester. Focus on what you can control and move forward.
