yep, someone posted a slide from an on campus presentation they did. it's basically all wharton/harvard and very few from other elite schools, and the exits are obviously top tier

Lol who MS this, u can literally find the slide it's been posted on wso. Not saying there aren't exceptions or things aren't different going forward

How about semi-target diversity? Do they have a structured diversity program?

Yes you have a chance.
You can be from buttfuck nowhere. If you're diversity and competent you'll get into the front door.

Heard from someone who’s an incoming SA that HR really stuck their fingers in the pie during recruiting and took a bunch of non-targets. Supposedly they took someone who did their first two years at a community college and are just now beginning their junior year at a semi-target. Also, $10K signing bonuses for diversity and nothing for non-diverse. There was a big thread ranting about PJT HR earlier this year, and I think it’s pretty clear how much they’ve gotten involved in the process this year and have moved away from the group’s traditional targets. Exits have remained exceptional, but obviously the demographic of this incoming class is considerably different from prior classes, so will be interesting to see their on-cycle results a year and a half from now once they’re FT. In short, there is hope if you’re diversity from a semi-target; if you’re non-diverse—better be down on your knees praying.

Fuck Im a non div incoming SA and can confirm didn't get any signing bonus. That's brutal

ah yes, HR. Soros’s avenue for executing his malthusian vision for the world

Whats up with the two Yales? Hadn't seen any from their go to the group in a while (or any on the slide list)

If the signing bonus being 10k for diversity and 0 for non diverse is true, can someone please sue?

think it's structured as some sort of scholarship for enabling diversity or something (or at least this is what some firms do). legally don't really have a basis to sue I don't think.

I'm sure he is cracked as all the other top EB/BB candidates are. It's just to put into perspective we will never see a non-diverse kid go to Community College and land Goldman Sophomore Summer while in CC and then proceed to go to PJT RSSG before transferring into Cal.

Perspective is very important.  Diversity helps alot. FWIW my bank literally hires ~40% of class thru the program..

Let’s just say back in the day I interviewed there for a summer gig, had already networked a bunch with a VP there who invited me into their NY office to meet, already had a summer in RX under my belt, generally aced the interview which was all technical, but I am a non-target non-diversity and didn’t even get a rejection email or ever hear back
