PNC vs Medical Business Development
I might get an offer from PNC for corporate and investment banking. I already have an offer from a medical business development company in the southeast that focuses on consulting and venture capital. Long term, I want to do business development and venture capital. If this were GS, JPM or MS, I would undoubtedly go with IBD, but in this case, should I still go to investment banking, or should I go to what I want to do long-term?
Unless you're referring to Harris Williams, PNC itself doesn't do any investment banking. They brand themselves as a corporate and institutional bank so they do more work on the financing side of things (ie. revolvers and securitizations). If you want IB I'd take the other gig.
