Pre-MBA Internships
I understand that Pre-MBA internships are rare...
Is it worth the time to network/pursue an IB summer analyst position at a major bulge bracket (GS, JPM, MS, UBS)? Or should I ground my expectations and immediately shoot for regional boutique banks.
Have you ever heard of someone earning an internship at a major bulge bracket who wasn't an undergrad summer analyst or 1st Year MBA summer associate? Trying to gauge how realistic my aspirations are.
I am a military veteran pivoting into finance via an MBA with applications in at several T15 programs. From my research- pre-MBA internships are rarely available, but given my background I hope you can see why I've place a premium on earning one. Would like as much exposure to the industry as soon as possible.
(The commonly recommended "veteran integration" initiatives at major firms do not align with my MBA timeline)
