PWP and Other EB Overtime Meal Policies
I am curious what the typical EB meal policy looks likes. I have a friend right now at PWP who says they are not allowed to order overtime meals to their home addresses, despite WFH being mandated for most of their advisory groups.
This is hugely concerning to me as a potential lateral candidate (in middle of process with them and a few other boutiques). Can someone please provide some more data points on other boutiques? TIA.
All advisory firms are helping with food/ Uber after certain times. Also they’re paying you enough to where it shouldn’t matter lol
PWP is an anomaly then, I think most boutiques let you order OT dinner to your home addresses. I know that's for sure the case with Lazard, CVP, HL.
What’s the policy with laz and HL?
At CVP we get $40 for dinner every night, as well as a lunch stipend. Makes working 15 hours a day (even if it's from home) more tolerable.
If this is true for PWP not sure how their juniors are surviving lol

Yeah, its still $30, but even though we were back 3 days a week since Sept, the wfh meal policy never changed (ie you can expense delivery meals regardless of location)

Guggenheim is only allowing dinners to be delivered to the office (no takeout) after 9pm. Absolutely ridiculous and all the junior team is fed up with the policy.
I thought we could order any time after 5:30 and just had to stay until after 9:00? Hopefully expense team doesn’t read this…

Mistake on my part. 9pm is for Ubers. Dinner needs to be after 8pm though.

I heard 9pm was only for a ride home (my roommate works there). From what I've seen he's ordered dinner at the office every night before he gets back. Usually he eats, works a bit, waits until the 9pm threshold, ubers home, then finishes his days work from home

Not true for PWP. Interns and Analysts ordered to house the entire summer.

Maybe read the recent threads on compensation and perks at other EB's and try to advocate for analysts a bit more? Dropped the ball completely this past bonus cycle for analysts, and now juniors can't even order food to their personal addresses...

Interned there from the summer. I’m pretty sure they can’t expense if they are home. Could have changed since then.
Who gives a shit. PWP's comp is > 10k higher than their peers. Even if they don't cover it, wouldn't you rather get paid 10k more vs. get 5-6k worth of meals reimbursed throughout the year?
I dunno about others but I expense $35 every weeknight + $70 on Sundays (get all 3 meals comped on weekends when we work). Works out to approx $12,740 in tax-free meal expenses per year, which post-taxes is like $20k extra comp.

No, it was $40 over the summer no questions asked for dinner. $20 for lunch on Sundays. Lunch was served through the week in office.
