OP wrote $ comp and says he is based in London.

These numbers are way too generous even for US straight out of school, practically crazy impossible for London.

Unless OP is a whack math genius (which I doubt based on the post) or that they/them chick from Billions who works for a London-based Axelrod, OP is bluffing.

Straight in through one of the junior/graduate programmes, but had some experience during uni working part time/intern for SM, also did internships at top bulge bracket IBD in penultimate year. Top MM and a very strong pod. Strong contribution, good performance and generous PM I guess.

Would not think it's completely rare / abnormal, MM provide best upside if you are good. Headhunters from competitors reaching out and they mention sign ons in that ballpark of 500k-1m for people with 2-3yr experience that are ready to take on a sleeve within their sectors.

Hi, thanks for doing this!

1) Have you seen people get in 3-4 years after their masters (most grad programs do not accept people at this stage)?

2) Have you seen people breaking in without going through a grad program?

3) Does age play a role? When is someone too old to break in?

4) Are you a quant trader or normal trader? Is it true that quants (not quant traders) only support the traders in MM shops or are there quants with their own Pnl?

5) What have you studied?
