Question About Corporate Banking
I have a final round interview coming up for corporate banking at a major global IB (non-BB). I'm going through the job description to see what I should be prepping for and came across this in the "responsibilities" section:
"Assist Loan Syndications in preparing marketing materials for new deals and providing information to other lenders in the syndicate"
What exactly do "marketing materials" entail for corporate banking? From my understanding, CB entails using the bank's own balance sheet to provide credit to clients, rather than acting as an intermediary for other investors (DCM). So who would the bank be marketing its deals to?
Marketed to other lenders/banks.
