Question: anybody know what is all-in comp for an MD at a boutique like Union Square Advisors?
Thanks all. I am considering jumping to an elite boutique to be an M&A banker where I will be in charge of selling companies in a various segment. Wondering how much one of these bankers gets paid. Think Union Square Advisors, something like that. How much are those guys making?
Based on comp I've seen at other MM's I'd guess probably around ~$450K base salary and a revenue target of ~$4-5M of which they would keep 20% (and a higher percentage for fees over that amount).
All in that would mean a well-performing MD could be getting $1.3M or more (though could be closer to 0 bonus if not hitting targets)
Thanks quaneaser, appreciate it.
This sounds like an execution role, as opposed to origination. Execution is going to pay less.
Hey Fellow thanks for your response.
I am very well connected to all the top people in this sector, and will be using those relationships to help source deals. They are hiring me for my relationships and my deep knowledge of the industry where I have become an expert over the past 10 years. Does this change the math?
Sounds like woodbridge international?
