Question on Acronyms
So this associate just sent me an email with the positions of some contacts. What is an ASO? Also I am assuming D = Director? What is the difference between Director and MDs (he used MD too) then?
This is CS by the way. Thanks.
probably associate
D/MD is mostly a seniority thing although they do get more say over how the group runs etc
Directors only direct, where as managing directors both manage and direct.
On a serious note, why does it matter? Odds are you will never reach any of these positions.
^ hahaha
^ it helps to know how powerful within the organization someone is when talking to them. It's one thing to speak your mind to an associate, and another to mouth off to a high level MD. Hope this helps. For CS: (I think; not 100%) ANL: Analyst ASO: Associate VP: Vice President D: Director MD: Managing Director
