Career Resources
Here we go again.
Let's add fuel to the fire:
DB vs RBC
RBC is stronger than DB in NA and DB is stronger outside of NA. There's nothing to argue here other than that RBC's platform has seriously grown and interns at other similar banks are feeling threatened, chill out guys.
Citi and BAML
Group dependent
BAML vs Barclays
Barclays and Guggenheim
Barclays. Similar if not better exit opps, better brand if you leave banking, & more alumni on street. Same reasons for CS over Gugg, but not DB, UBS, RBC, or Jeff (I would take gugg over those last 4).
I'd take gugg. From the people I've spoken to at gugg and Barclays, gugg has better hours/culture in most groups with similar-better exit opps
Also it depends on what you're interested in- gugg is much better for hc and tmt while Barclays is the god of power/nat res
Barclays vs. CS
group dependent
PJT RSSG vs. Northwestern Mutual
Nothing like being left lead on the life insurance advisory mandate!
UBS vs. CS UBS vs. RBC UBS vs JEFF
Bump
CS and RBC are definitely better. JEFF is MM but still more desirable than UBS.
Thats what I was thinking
Which UBS intern gave me MS lol
RBC is also a MM
CS >>>>>>>>>>>>> UBS > JEFF > RBC UBS still has legacy exit opportunities and Jefferies is more established than RBC
Bro. RBC > UBS
RBC > CS > Jeff> UBS
I had offers at RBC (capital markets not ibd), UBS and JEFF. Chose UBS and it wasn't a hard choice. If it was RBC IBD I would have thought about it more but still probably would have gone to UBS due to brand name. RBC does have great culture though. CS above all 3.
can't wait to see this thread
UBS > RBC > DB...
That is such a bad take it's unbelievable also you used the wrong chart btw try again. BoFA at the bottom worse than UBS? Lmao cmon try harder
Lol am i missing something here or is market share for last year totaling well above 100%?
This isn't that accurate. Remember a larger size deal means there is more meaningless work as an analyst so the quality of what you are doing may not be good. You need to factor in # of deals as well as average deal size.
CS/RBC > DB > UBS
Barclays/CS is group dependent
/thread
This isn't bad I think
Someone needs to discover a vaccine ASAP
we’re gonna hear endless debates about RBC, UBS, DB and NWM until then
I would suggest the North Korean method....
Already a shitshow lemme add my shit into the shitshow:
What ab/ MM banks?
Top MM banks are Rothschild (maybe EB?), Jefferies, HL, RBC, William Blair / Baird
Why do banks like Rothschild and Allen & Co. keep a low profile?
switch accounts already man!! This is so embarassing for you same "Analyst 1 M&A" sneakily inserts RBC into there to throw shade. Interview couldn't have been that bad there are so many banks out there!!!!
PJT RSSG vs GS TMT
Couldn't go wrong either way, depends on your interests. I'd choose PJT in a heartbeat but I prefer the EB model to the BB one, and I think RX is an incredibly interesting space.
if you want an exit in finance PJT might give you a slight but GS TMT wins outside of finance for sure
DB vs TD Securities?
WSO Vs Reddit
RBC SA vs GOLDMAN STANLEY GROUP HEAD
Carole Baskin vs Joe Exotic
Tobin & Co. vs KKR
GS vs MS. Posting as anonymous for a reason.
GS
The entitlement is off the chart.
RBC IB vs NW Mutual Insurance advisory? Thinking NW Mutual advisory for the prustigheeee.
