Raymond James vs Lincoln vs Brown Gibbon Lang?
Strongest MM player here? Or is it mainly group dependent at these firms? Have heard good things about RJ and Lincoln but not much about BGL.

RJ
If tech & services I would go with RJ. If industrials I would go with Lincoln. After that they're probably very similar across the board with similar deal sizes and volume so splitting hairs at that point. Don't know anything about BGL first hand
Worth noting Lincoln's TMT team has performed pretty well lately, though not as established as RJ T&S
RJ / Lincoln are pretty comparable now and it depends on the group. Both are moving upmarket, Lincoln is poaching some good talent from MMs (e.g., Piper).
BGL is several notches below those two.
BGL is also a sweaty volume shop
Not a great fact pattern when you combine it with its pay disparity and cultural reputation
Xx
U got dinged at Jefferies
Like Bullet-Tooth said it is always group dependent, but BGL is a notch below both for almost every group I've come across. RJ and Lincoln both have strong industrials groups in Chicago from what I've seen.
Overall I would say RJ, but somewhat depends on group. RJ is very strong in Tech for example
One of my connections worked at Lincoln in Chicago and said it was very sweaty. Also, as others have said, BGL is definitely below both Lincoln and RJ.
I've heard good things about BGL's Cleveland office.
Heard horrible things about BGL (from a friend who worked there and left).
Lol. Who gives a shit? BGL isn’t as good as the other firms for several reasons, but one of the BGL founders being a Republican and running for office isn’t a stain on anyone’s career that decides to work there. People like you are weird af.
Are people at Carlyle now stained because Youngkin won gubernatorial VA election?
Ok
