Re-recruiting into Restructuring after Summer Analyst in M&A at a BB?

Hi, I'm a sophomore who just went through recruiting and recently accepted an offer at a BB (think Citi/BAML/Barc) for M&A. However, as I've gone through recruiting, I've developed a strong interest in restructuring (and I think I'd like to do distressed/special sits long term). I still ended up in a few Rx processes, and I know most Rx technicals, etc, but nothing panned out that was better than the M&A offer I got.

Would it be possible to rerecruit into Rx full-time? And how could I position myself to be able to this? I figure top rx like PJT/HL/EVR would be very tough, but would something like Ducera be possible? I go to a non-HYP ivy

Very doable. Biggest caveat is that there’s usally not that many seats open for FT given return rates are 90%+ - think 1-2 FT RX seats at PJT/EVR with maybe 1-2 more at tier 2s like HL/PWP/LAZ/DUC/GUGG.
Goes without saying, but getting a return is a prerequisite. Would emphasize networking with ppl in the groups you’re interested in throughout the summer. It’ll be less direct given they don’t even know if they’ll be recruiting. The interview process is basically the same as the internship one, so just stay sharp on that. There’ll obviously be an added focus on ur summer work + why switching to RX.
