RE: Transitioning from CRA to IB or Private Debt
Hello,
New to the forum here. I currently work at one of the big 3 CRAs and got my CFA recently. I cover U.S. corporates- primarily on high yield and levfin issuers.
Was wondering what the best strategy is in terms of making a jump to IB or Privat Debt. My role is about a middle manager (Associate Director/Associate Lead Analyst).
For IB, I assume joining non-BB at an associate level may be the most realistic option- but would love to all your thoughts. For Private Debt- an analyst level?
Alternatively, what would be some of the most lucrative exit opportunities from CRA? Not in a rush- but would love to have the knowledge in my back pocket.
Thanks in advance.
