Recruiting for sophomore and junior summer while working from 830am - 1130pm

Interning for an RIA(in office <=once a week) and his team(work remote) rn. This RIA is under a larger firm with IBD (think Stifel, RJ). Every day is dd and making decks to update clients on macro/portfolio.

Interns for other RIAs leave at 5pm, though they do less work(think entry-level technical analysis on MSFT or sending client emails) but I'm pulling 830am - 1130pm on weekdays plus 7ish hrs on weekends. My RIA is saying Im doing a "good job" & want me for another summer. lol

Meanwhile, I'm trying to recruit for roles in ER/PE/small IBs for sophomore summer and BB roles for junior summer.

Am I just dumb/bad at doing my job? Or should I suck it up? Or should tell my RIA (man leaves at 4:30 if he's in office and nearly unreachable after 8ish) about it and bring it to his attention?

PS: no prob pulling 80hrs per week, but this is just taking a toll on recruiting for me rn.
