Reneging for GS
Does GS IB care about reneging? Will they pull your offer if you renege on another offer for their SA program?

Bumpppp
So you want to drop someone else for GS? And GS wants you correct?
Seems fine, unless this is an MBA position and you could face issues with the school.
Can ur gs offer be pulled as well ?
have heard on some calls that gs analysts have directly told people to reneg before continuing with the gs process
No
.
we don’t care — do what you have to do
Seriously no one gives a shit about an intern/analyst reneging lol. Everyone at my target reneges all the time.
got it, thank you, I was just worried because of the stories on here about people getting their offer pulled because the firm found out they reneged
What type of bank are you trying to renege on for GS?
some banks do hate reneging but most of the times those are the banks you reneg on; might have a bad look for your school if you're not at a target (or your "club" if you're at a target lol but still prob not true but heard from some ppl)
What if another bb ?
What if EB?
bump
Do it pussy
What if I accepted a MM SA offer due to valid concerns about market conditions, and made that information public (e.g. LinkedIn). Can I still apply to other SA BB opportunities, or would this be frowned upon?
I think that would not be ideal hahaha
I guess the right strategy now, is to ace the SA internship, try to secure their FT offer, and if I dislike the culture, keep my other contacts/networking lukewarm for potential FT recruiting.
rule of thumb just dont post on LinkedIn about your SA offers looks cringey as hell IMO when you're flexing an internship offer (I know everyone does it but still)
No. This way, you get to make two “I’m humbled and pleased to announce..” posts. Imagine the dopamine rush.
