Renegotiate contract for a BB HK SA?

Received an offer from a BB in HK. The base salary is on par to the market, but, will have to pay for housing and there's no over-time. Was wondering how negotiable the contracts are and would that negatively impact my career or their perception of me?

Negotiate? haha - I really feel bad for whichever person you end up working for. If you're trying to negotiate before even starting an SA, you're doing this for all the wrong reasons. Don't get me wrong, we all do this for the money but jesus Christ, you should try to get the job. Unless this was an absolute last choice of a place to work for and you just want to max out the comp

Let's work it from first principles.

What do you think your bargaining power is vs the BB? For example, were you the only applicant and they would be, like, totally devastated if you didn't come to work for them and they would have, like, absolutely no chance of finding some else of your quality to replace you?

What's your next best alternative option that you have signaled to them that you have, so they know you have options if they don't, like, accept your counter-offer to their offer?

Those who can, do. Those who can't, post threads about how to do it on WSO.
