return offers
would it be uncommon for a BB IB SA group to give 100% return offers? Just wondering because all the interns in my class are very strong and have a good rapport

Fingers crossed that one of those helps you.
wondering the same thing, however a lot of people say that my group overhired but I have absolutely no idea how they would go about cutting ppl
I’ve seen it happen; it just depends on the needs of the group and its culture.
Honestly quite common to give 100% returns in a specific group if everyone is great and gets along well. Have seen it several times. Few individual groups truly overhire their intern class
I’m a first year analyst at a top BB and I’m hearing the return rates will be low this year. Mainly bc of the impending recession and an over hired first year class. Everyone is strong and it’s “extremely competitive” according to the higher ups. Already know a couple names are on the chopping block.
do you happen to know if this is across the board for your bank, or r u referring mainly to ur own group?
I know one group is gonna be 50%. But hearing interns just aren’t doing well across the street.
Data point from my MM - rates close to 90%+ across the board. All cuts were justified (the intern just wasn’t good, had some critical issue that everyone agreed they didn’t want to hire). Everyone remotely qualified got an offer, no cuts related to headcount concerns or recession
