Robert Baird Research Analyst Pre Screening

Just got a call from Robert Baird regarding a Research Analyst Position..HR scheduled a phone interview for next week saying I will be asked some pre-screening questions. What should I expect? Thanks for your time.

screening by HR can go both ways... UBS sometimes give hard questions and they try to push you, but that's for IBD, might be the same for research too... otherwise, it's usually pretty standard, all fit questions. suggest you go prepare a good answer for "why baird?", "why research?: and finally "walk me through your resume". take this as an opportunity to rehearse these questions that are bound to come up when u go to superday.

Good luck

I had a few technical questions, but nothing too difficult. I bet they just had an overwhelming number of applications and probably didn't have the manpower in HR to cover them all. The associate I talked to was very personable and nice. He did say that they usually hold their version of Superday towards the end of October and beginning of November. So I would expect the second rounds to start here in the next week or so.

I had one for the IB FT analyst position. Mine wasnt conducted by HR but by an analyst.. I had to go through two phone interviews. First was all fit/walk me through your resume. Second was by a 2nd yr analyst, and had simple tech questions, how do you value a company, explain dcf, etc.

I was told the next steps were superday invites but haven;t heard back yet, Anyone have any news in regards to that?
