Roland Berger vs LEK Consulting -- Which One Will Better Positon Me For Banking

Hi Money,

I have to say I am not a consulting guy and not very passionate about it, but think management consulting is worthy trying as an summer internship in order to have a more diversified background. (I have done BB IBD internship before...)

Roland Berger: German strategy consulting firm. Interviewed with them and think the people are very friendly.

LEK: British stratefy consulting firm. Famous for its M&A concentration and commercial due dilligence.

Wondering which firm is better received in banking in term of the prestige & experience?

Roland Berger is obviosuly bigger in Europe than it is in the US.

If it was outside continental Europe I would go with LEK.

LEK (similar to OCC) traditionally places very well in mid market PE (London at least). I dont know about banking placement though.

Sorry I just saw that it was for an internship. LEK all the way because of name recognition.
