Based on the most helpful WSO content, there isn't specific information about interviewing with Rothschild's NYC Debt Advisory team at the associate level. However, for Debt Advisory interviews in general, candidates often encounter a mix of fit/motivation questions and technical questions. Technicals may focus on areas like LBOs, debt structuring, and financial modeling.

If you're preparing for an associate-level interview, it's also likely they'll assess your deal experience and ability to handle complex debt situations. Reviewing your past transactions and being ready to discuss them in detail could be crucial.

For more tailored advice, you might want to explore threads like "Debt Advisory interview - What to expect?" or "Restructuring Associate Interview" on WSO.

I'm adding this in case anyone stumbles upon this thread down the line.

Two stage process: first stage is a technical screen and the second stage is a behavioral screen. The technical screen tests your knowledge of finance concepts, DA + RX concepts (the teams are conjoint), and about market trends. The behavioral screen is mostly a vibe check. It's important to develop a good rapport with the interviewer, like any behavioral screen. Can't give specifics, especially since they'll vary by interviewer.

Curious what market trend questions you got asked? And how do DA questions differ from RX?
