If you're doing 2 digits, it's 3.69. If you just do just 1, do 3.7. Anything else will make you look dishonest and offers can absolutely be revoked for things like this.
Personally I would just put 3.69. When I see people who round to 1 decimal I always just assume they rounded up, because if it rounded down then they would just put two decimals. Better to put 3.69 then put 3.7 and have people who assume you got a 3.65
Pretty much all my friends during recruiting rounded up. One of my friends rounded a 3.43 to a 3.6 and never got caught. It's all about the risk you're willing to take. ESP if you’re still in school no hiring manager is gonna give a fuck, most checks are typically in the spring a month before the internship starts anyways

in this case which one should i do? would it be smarter to say 3.7 or 3.69, because I don't want to get dinged because I have lower than 3.7.
Respectfully, do not listen to this advise.
I was told directly by a former MS associate (IBD Mind you) that I needed to round my GPA up, and that not rounding it up made me look like an idiot.

yeah but wouldn't i have the risk of getting my resume tossed/get worse offers because its under 3.7?
Maybe round to 3.7 only for jobs with a 3.7 cutoff. Otherwise, keep it as 3.69
