SA 26 - Worth recruiting for US firms?

At a Canadian semi-target, recently started networking for SA 26 recruiting. Considering the visa situation and how my school does not have any strong pipelines (unlike Queens/Ivey), is it worth putting any energy into US firms or should I focus on Toronto? Any advice would be appreciated.

Lmao what a lame question. Regardless, it's too late to start networking for SA26.

How is too late😭

If you go to UBC/McGill/Rotman/Laurier/Waterloo/Schulich

There are alumni in the US. Reach out to them first asap, it’s already getting late.

After you’ve exhausted your school alumni you should start emailing other Canadians who aren’t school alum, this works almost just as well as school alum.

You are going to need a stellar academic profile and a strong internship for 2025 summer to have a shot to be honest. But if you email 20-30 people a day all of January at least one opportunity should come up.
