Sales-Orientated Roles in Finance

I have come to the conclusion that I want to pursue a sales-orientated role within finance. My strengths, character, and interests suit such work. I have a strong knack to network, talk to people etc, and I really enjoy that part of work. I have thought about moving away from law for a while and I am confident in that decision now; this is not an overnight decision (I have done a lot of reflecting). Without doxxing myself, my background is in Legal: A*/A across the board at GCSEs and A-levels; studied law at target (semi-target in finance I believe); vacation schemes in corporate law at Silver Circle and US law firms; other non-law experience and currently in Legal at an investment bank.

I have narrowed it down to 3 options:

  • Wealth Management
  • Investor Relations/Fundraising (I think placement agent/EB would be really interesting)
  • B2B Sales (fintech could be interesting)

How should I decide on one career path and how do I break in?
