Salvaging a Bad Networking Call
I recently had a networking call that was just unsatisfactory. It was with an analyst and during the call he sounded uninterested. Granted he may have had a bad day, but I was wondering if in a follow up email I could mention that "I did not put my best foot forward and would enjoy speaking again", or something else along those lines.
Don’t, just like with girls you don’t want to come across as the kid that apologizes for everything (I was like this due to my education). Either reach out to an other analyst, or send a thank you email with something positive - ie take care and hopefully it all goes well on your end with the current situation (virus etc).
Never apologize, makes you look weak, say thank you for your time and sharing your experience and move on, dont make yourself a target for him to show to other people and laugh at
