Same Position, Multiple Offices?

Anyone know what the correct stance is on applying to more than one office for the same position at a firm?

For example, Lazard lists Financial Summer Analyst positions in NYC, Houston, DC, and Lazard MM in Charlotte among others on my school's career database.

The contact person is the same for each position - is it frowned upon if I apply to all four of the positions?

I did that during my recruitment and didn't hurt me exactly...however the office that interviewed me first did not ask me for a second round and the other offices told me they would not be inviting me because of that. So....not sure.
