Scotiabank FT Analyst Interview

Have an interview coming up with them for their NY office. Not disclosing group, but what level of questions should I be expecting?

I know that they aren’t a GS/EVR but they’re growing immensely in the US at such a rapid rate and have poached very notable rainmaker MDs in various coverage groups + Ds + VPs.

From what I can tell, the staffing model seems almost boutiquey with deal flow and lean teams so I’m trying to see if this is gonna be more of a boutique level interview as they need their analysts to hit the ground running.

Would I be fine with what I know from BIWS guides and 400Q, or are there a lot of curveballs?

Scotiabank is in a great place and is growing their ibd division pretty well. Great ratio of hardworking people and good culture. For SA I think it generally sinks more towards the typical guides and 400q, but ft is a bit more market based/cultural fit. This website linked here has probably the best collection for scotia and is what a lot of ppl used to land their offers in my class

Just brush up basic section of biws 400 and you'll be more than fine and basic behavioral. They are big on cultural fit.

Sorry for diverting question, but was this done through solely networking? Don't see apps released for them

They released apps for their industrials group like early this month/late last month.
