Scotiabank SA27 NYC

Just received a screening and HR confirmed it’s for the non-target pool including semi-target. Anyone else receive the Hirevue and anyone from the past know how the interview process works? Is is rd1 then Superday or are there 2 rounds and then Superday?

Based on the most helpful WSO content, the typical process for investment banking recruitment, including Scotiabank, often involves a HireVue video interview as the first round. This is followed by either one additional round of interviews or directly proceeding to the Superday, depending on the bank's specific process.

For example, in similar processes like Goldman Sachs or Barclays, the HireVue interview includes 3-5 questions with limited preparation and response time. After the HireVue, candidates usually hear back within 1 week to a month to schedule the next steps, which could be a second-round interview or a Superday. Superdays typically consist of multiple back-to-back interviews with a mix of technical and behavioral questions.

If Scotiabank follows a similar structure, you can expect: 1. HireVue Video Interview: Likely the first step, with behavioral and possibly technical questions. 2. Second Round (if applicable): This could be a phone or video interview with more in-depth questions. 3. Superday: A series of interviews with senior professionals, often including technical, behavioral, and fit questions.

It’s best to confirm directly with HR or others who have gone through the Scotiabank process for any specific variations.

did the superday last year, mix of behaviorals and technicals with more senior people much more on the behavioral side. questions are surprisingly not super easy and sometimes got asked questions which I thought were more EB level like m&a relevant stuff. I prepped for EBs and everything so it wasn't too bad but might want to use a classic platform like marginofalpha to go deep on technicals. Otherwise stay personable and goodluck!

Just had superday and it was 2 30 min interviews, one behavioral, one technical. Behaviorals were standard but technicals were weird, they asked conceptual questions but in very odd ways, wasn't too difficult once underlying concept was clear.
