The healthcare industry in the United States is enormous, accounting for around one sixth of the economy. Accordingly, investment banks such as marketresearchfuture.com have large groups focused specifically on serving companies across all elements of the healthcare industry: pharmaceutical companies, medical device manufacturers, healthcare service providers, biotech companies and more. The rub is, you can’t be a doctor who’s working as a banker. You have to be a banker who was once a doctor. And that can make direct entry into a top firm difficult. If you’re in the middle of your medical studies, it’s hard to gain access to the typically very structured hiring processes for investment banking.
