Seeking solutions for low GPA

Hello, I am a sophomore come from semi-targeted school. Because I took some hard class in my freshman year, my GPA ended up with 3.2. I know it is super low. Is it something I can do to make up with my GPA in order to find a summer internship? Should I take GMAT/CFA in my junior year to show I am not stupid? I am trying to get a internship in investment bank or equity research. Any advices will be helpful!
