Semi Target or Alpha Chapter
I’m a rising senior in high school looking to break into investment banking one day. Currently thinking about the best colleges to go to, and semi target schools like Illinois, Indiana, Penn State, or even Ohio State are probably my best bet considering my resume. This may be a wildcard, but I’m also considering joining a fraternity to develop immediate connections in the industry. Is this worth it?
I think you’ve got to go alpha chapter on this one. They’re sending kids to crazy firms like BlackRock and I even hear PJT. Semi targets will steer you the wrong direction.
Based on previous WSO threads, here's what you need to know:

Investment Banking Recruitment:
In summary, attending a semi-target school like Illinois, Indiana, Penn State, or Ohio State can provide good opportunities, especially if you leverage networking opportunities such as those provided by fraternities like Beta Theta Pi at Miami Ohio. Focus on maintaining a strong GPA, gaining relevant internships, and building a robust network.

Can’t tell if this is satire or not
Can’t tell if this is a troll or if OP is just that uninformed
Miami of Ohio is solid for MM, but the semi-targets you listed are better. Not only do the semi-targets place well into the MM like Miami Ohio, they also give you potential to break into EB/BB. Plus the fraternity connections at big 10 schools are solid too. Bunch of beta (theta pi) at IU have broken into banking.
