Series 7 tips?

So I’ll be taking the series 7 in a couple months and I’m an awful test taker. Never did well on the SATs either. Any advice on best study practices while juggling a full time job and what areas to focus on for the exam? I’m studying the knopman marks material but the book is by Kaplan.

Hey! I haven’t taken the series 7, but I just wanna let you know you’re gonna do great! Take a deep breath and just study bits and pieces at a time, Rome wasn’t built in a day. You got it man!

Took it a couple years ago had a week or so to push through it and study(S&T program). I don’t know which resources you’re using but I strongly recommend Knopman marks. They’ll guide you to success. In a nutshell the S7 is a continuation of concepts from the SIE but more in depth and few other topics. The key is learning the foundational stuff for options, regulation, suitable recommendations for clients(bulk of the test).

My recommendation (1) take benchmark exam see where you’re at with the concepts. (2) skim the book get a understanding of the concepts(do the small quizzes don’t worry about your score ),(3) next watch the videos 1.5x speed & take notes on things you don’t understand. Then finally (4) is doing 1000+ of the practice questions in their Qbank till you’re scoring 70+ on each of the sections. (Critical you do this)

You’ll thank yourself on test day when youll see variations of the questions you practice on. I failed the first time for this reason alone. Thrown off guard by questions I never seen before.

Lastly, Don’t get discouraged with your scores at first as long as they’re trending upwards even if it’s slow you are on the right track

You got this!
