Should I do CAIA or CFA?
I’m an incoming A1 in a BB IB, and I’m considering which certification, CAIA or CFA, might be more helpful for future career development?

You should get laid, I'm positive that it would be way more helpful for future career development
Honestly neither are really relevant to IB unless you plan on switching to something like AM after.
Agreed. I've cleared all 3 levels but IB really don't care. If you really have bandwidth and are bored (which I doubt), go for CFA
Agree with the above, I cleared level 2 and can confirm that the CFA does not move a finger nor adds a lot of value in M&A - being likeable will help you much more.
CFA if you’re willing to invest the 900+ hours required to study and pass all three levels. I’ve passed Level III and will say that it’s not too helpful for M&A. That being said, I genuinely enjoyed the curriculum and found that it’s given me a deeper and more holistic understanding of the industry.
It will also help you build rapport with other charter holders, and can add to your overall credibility/credentials, but there are better ways to spend your time if you’re purely doing this for career development.
