Should I Quit My Job Cold Turkey?

So currently in a bit of a difficult situation at work. At a top BB in a role I absolutely cannot stand and am very much disliked by my manager and MD which has made the work pretty difficult. I get interviews extremely easy given my profile (2.5 years at BB, Top Grades, etc.) but don't really have a whole lot of time to study for them outside of work as I've been pulling 100-110 hrs a week at work for a long time. Would it be best to just quit after I get my bonus in 6 weeks? I have enough in savings, etc. to be fine for over a year but honestly I think I just need a month or 2 to regroup and find something that is more fulfilling than this bs. How frowned upon would it be to be unemployed when applying to other banks in this environment?

Are you in risk management, looking to lateral into IB?

Also, it always seems more challenging inverviewing for a new job when you don't have a job; just a subconscious stigma attached to it, right or wrong. That said, doesn't mean it has to be a substantial stigma.

If it were me, I'd find the time to job-search while still employed. Yes, it's tougher, but I would just grind a little harder and see if it's doable. If not, you can always then quit and devote full-time to job search.

Yeah, that's a tough call. I don't know if there is a "hot lateral market" in risk management, like there is in IB. And if you are

going for IB, just seems like you'll have a better shot at the transition if you have a current job at a big brand name, as opposed to a former job.
