From buddies over there, I've heard some pretty brutal things as well. WLB seems very poor and majority of time is spent on pitches. Got a good friend over there that hasn't seen a live deal since Sam Smith was straight. They also have some weird onboarding rituals that I've heard about, can't confirm the validity though. Stuff about interns having some "right of passage" tests that closely emulate what you would see in  Sig Chi basement...

Haven't heard a lot of great things from the boys grinding away in the bullpen over there (think NYC). Hours are brutal which is surprising given the lack of deal flow. Heard they haven't touched an M&A transaction since pre-COVID. Brutal culture is also a common theme. Hearing things about how they haze the fuck out of their interns. Have a buddy over there that was forced to smoke bong in the bathroom during work hours. Seriously...

Bump, interested. Just had a SD here a few days ago, waiting to hear back

Used to work here during my days on the sell side. Absolute shit show. Didn't see any live deals for the 2+ years I was there. Ended up exiting to an LMM fund with 50 bps of carry though, so I guess buy-side perception is decent. To echo the comments above, yes there is a very intense "training program" for interns/analysts.
