sophomore at penn with no relevant experience. too late to break into IB?

I study economics and computer science at Penn but have been focused on swe recruiting for most of undergrad so far. long story short, I don't find the work nearly as interesting as I used to, and want to try something new. i have absolutely 0 experience at all. the closest thing was working as a swe at a hedge fund this fall. the best thing I've got going for me is a good gpa (3.95).

i know the basics of what I should be doing, which is to try and get into wharton clubs to fluff up resume, network with penn alums, and learn modeling for interviews.

I'm asking mainly to temper expectations and to see whether it's realistic to break into gs or ms as a SA next year or new grad at this point.

also, if I were to go through with it, is it worth delaying graduation for one more internship cycle + courses at Wharton?

hahah nah! it's waaaaaaaay to early to be worried about being too late. you've got lots of time. get started on going through technicals and behaviorals now...and start networking too. don't be worried! you're in a good spot. just stay positive!

If you network and make meaningful connections you will definitely get an offer. Just come up with a good why finance story and learn the technicals. Also if you could finagle your way into one finance club would be good
