Assuming you have both offers:

Several things matter. M&A and RX is typically more attractive in your CV than ECM/DCM. And the type of PE fund also matters (i.e real estate PE / asset aquisition-type PEs are not so good compared to whole-company LBO-type funds).

If goal is BB IB, focus 1st on whichever has the best name / market reputation that you can leverage to get BB IB doors open for your junior summer. Then focus 2nd on the position / group / exposure you’ll get.

From what I read, PE 4bn AUM seems better than some unknown Boutique IB. Also might help you pivot back to PE in the future if you so desire.

Assuming you don’t have both offers:

Whichever offer you get lmao.

Good luck.
