Stuck after 3 years of trying to make it

Posting from a throwaway account because of the information I'm posting.

I spent 3 years at a community college to transfer to the best business school my state could offer. I did a few internships and even gained some contacts in IB both local and in NY. This school places a good amount of kids into IB in my region. I could see my work paying off for the first time,

Six months later it's been trashed. My financial aid did not come through. My father refused to help me get a student loan (one that I would pay) and my mother is impoverished and cant assist. I now owe this school a substantial amount of money. It may take me two years to even get back in then my credits are gone.

I know IB is not the end all be all. However, it has been my goal for some time and giving up would feel like complete defeat. I saw IB as my opportunity to rise up from my mistakes, my socioeconomic class, and my dead-end hometown. I just wanted to start my career in finance with a good hand. I'm only saying that for context of how important it is for me. I don't need sympathy but I'd appreciate any perspective or advice.

why can't you get a student loan yourself? how hard have you tried looking? I'm sure you could find another person (if needed) to co-sign the loan...

Thanks for the response. Yes, I have applied but I lack the credit history/score to be approved for the loan. I've considered asking other family members but they all have a very old school "Do it yourself" mentality. Not to mention the loan would be about the same amount as a low-end luxury car.
