So my offer letter (and probably everyone else's as well) says that my salary will be 85K pro rated.
- If you assume that's 85K for 52 weeks that should mean I will get $16,346 for the summer, right?
- My friend told me that he got about $10,000 total deposited into his bank account for his work during summer. That means his tax rate was about 39%. However, since my TOTAL income for 2018 will only be $16,346, will I get ALL that $6,346 back when I file my tax return in April 2019? Or only a portion of it?
- If I am not from NY will I pay the NY state income tax rate or the one of my home state?
