Taking W vs GPA

So Im a sophomore transfer at a semi-target school. During my freshman year at a public, I finished with a 3.2 (extenuating circumstances). I also took Calc 2 and Discrete as pass/fail—failed (a c- didn’t cut it for some reason). Already repeated Calc 2, repeating Discrete at this new school.

So to the issue…I’m in the process of getting a C+ in my CS course, can’t do pass/fail, so I’m going to drop it and repeat next semester. Considering I’ve already repeated 2 courses, would this be a good idea? Without the course, I’ll be around a 3.8, having As in my 3 other courses.

In ib recruitment does how you got your gpa even matter? Will my transcript be analyzed, or do they only look at it for gpa verification?

bump. go to solid target with a 3.81, might get B in a class and B+ in another two. Might bump my gpa down to 3.75 so i can't round up to 3.8. was wondering if i should take the W.

Also curious as to how many banks actually ask for transcript. Talking to older buddies here and have heard that most don't even ask for transcript
