what is criteria — at junior level this is an absolutely atrocious list
assuming juniors in all three of S++ (GS, JEF, JPM) get absolutely bent over and railed lmfao
I would imagine DB ranks low in Texas considering that they're not in Texas

Based on the most helpful WSO content, here’s a breakdown of Texas IB prestige rankings, particularly in the energy and natural resources space:
S++ Tier
S+ Tier
S Tier
A Tier
B Tier
C Tier
D Tier
This ranking aligns with the insights from WSO threads discussing Houston and Texas IB, where firms like GS, JPM, and Jefferies dominate the energy space, while others like TPH and Evercore are highly regarded for their compensation and culture. Lower tiers include firms with less presence or deal flow in the region.

RBC below Jefferies?
PJT, Guggenheim and Lazard are all below Citi, BofA, and Barclays in terms of actual mandates. Houlihan also too high
.
i mean not like jef can go much higher based off these rankings but they definitely have the right senior bankers (namely dolezal). more generally the firm has been luring in MDs in with multi-year comp guarantees - recent threads show that JEF houston bonuses have been down considerably compared to the absolutely insane comp the group was pulling say 5 years ago -- maybe we'll see something similar at least in the short term with ET but not really sure where the industry is going with the new administration in (anyone feel free to add here) but I guess we'll see
No difference between houlihan hc/rx (dallas) and energy in houston?? Low effort tier list
Citi way too fuckin low
PJT so high?? Get they’re an EB but what have they done
Basically looks like if you were to rank first by energy performance, then give prestige banks with not great energy practices a tier or two bump. Moelis is similar
Where does landman come in this
Accurate
GS has a Dallas office too, that does regional banking. Not sure how it ranks tho.
Interesting lol
Intrepid at least a B for elite dodgeball performance
Congrats on the Intrepid offer!
