Deloitte b/c it acquired McColl Partners several years back and retained most of their talent.
KPMG is a distant second. Rarely see PWC or E&Y in the U.S.
Yep, completely agreed. Every lateral hire I've ever seen has been from Deloitte. I've never even heard of PwC on a deal stateside.
They are out there on rare occasion. My guess is that they are helping clients that are already in one-off discussions with a strategic and not running M&A processes here.

For Deloitte I'm pretty sure it's street (85k base, unsure about the bonus)

Much different in the U.S.
Deloitte hands down
Deloitte CF is larger than the other three. KPMG CF is more industrials focused due to their bigger Chicago presence, and E&Y Capital Advisors focuses more on healthcare and private bond placement. Deloitte CF and PwC CF are more diversified across industries.
