Thoughts on Virginia Tech SEED Program

Wanted to see everyone's thoughts on VT's SEED (Student-managed Endowment for Educational Development), which manages a portfolio of roughly $5 million. The placement (can't link) also seemed pretty solid considering that it is a non-target. A few students actually got IBD internships/full time analyst positions for BBs. They also have an annual report (can't link here) that covers everything from their recruiting, placement, networking, and portfolio. The program is actually rather selective at Tech, with only 15/100 students getting into SEED for the Spring 2017 semester. I know VT gets shit on a lot for its non-target status, but the SEED program gives me hope as it seems like a solid place for networking and recruitment for a non-target school. Thoughts?
