Transfer, I went to a non-target undergrad and then to a target for my MMS, there is a world of difference, I can now easily reach out and talk to a BB MD or a MBB partner, the recruiting is much better too.
I would like to at least apply to places and then make a decision based on if i got accepted any where else. There are pros and cons to my university as there would be pros and cons to the school that I transferred to. I kind of just want to get a feel for what schools I would be a good candidate for.
What schools should I consider? I would prefer to transfer to a school where I can take classes in accounting and finance rather than just major in econ. U of M Ross (although hard to transfer into) or Georgetown Mcdonaugh seem to be what I am looking for more than anything else. As far as Ross goes, with a 4.0 GPA and middle market experience, would I have a shot as a transfer?
How many people from your school land front office roles? How tight is the alumni network? How good are your high school stats?
If there are a small number of spots each year for people from your school you may be better off staying and crushing it than transferring to another school. I went to a school with a decent number of BBIBD spots but found that the talent pool was relatively less competitive than a lot of the other target schools mentioned frequently on this board. Being a target school is great in terms of opportunities but the pool can often be absurdly competitive as well.
Just my two cents as an alternative perspective. Best of luck!

fair enough mate. Just make sure transferring does not provide too much of a distraction and that transferring does not unsettle you
