Took offer, just got another. Don't know how move forward.

Signed an offer at a regional boutique while still in process with another firm. Timeline on the first was tight, so didn't tell the second cause knew they couldn't move fast enough.

The other firm came back with an offer, and I think its better long-term fit (location + platform).

Main concern is the risk of switching and ending up with neither. How do people usually handle this?

Do you tell them that you’ve already accepted elsewhere, or do you secure the new offer in writing first and then withdraw?

My thinking was make it clear with the second firm upfront what I'd be doing. I guess that's a bad idea?

How high is the risk of everything blowing up if I keep it a secret?

Secure offer in writing and tell the other place in 6-12 months that you have some extenuating circumstances and can no longer do banking
