TPH&CO IB Bootcamp 2024

Applied for the program and waiting for response. Just wondering if anyone knows when we should get a response/interview or if this is a generally selective program. Also what is the purpose of going to something like this? Thanks

“The program will serve as an introduction to TPH&Co. and an overview of both the energy sector and financial services industry. Specific topics include:

Overview of an investment bank, its different divisions, and its role in commerce
Junior roles and responsibilities, across divisions
Introduction to the energy sector
Corporate Analysis 101, including:
Basics of corporate finance
Basics of financial analysis, including valuation methodology
Energy-specific analysis tools
Exposure to qualitative and quantitative evaluation used in the M&A advisory practice
Opportunity to learn and use “tools of the trade” in Case Competition”

Seems like the purpose is to learn about TPH, Energy and the financial services industry.

Did it not too long ago. You are given a project during the latter half of the week that is similar to IB work. It was a great networking opportunity. I am still in touch with people I met from other schools. Even if you don’t want Houston (I’m going to NY), it still looks great on a resume.

Interview was easy: TMAY, standard techs and behaviorals, and show interest in energy (read the news and “Why energy?”)

For reference, I did the bootcamp not too long ago. Applied ~May 12. Heard back from initial application on June 10 that I was selected for an interview. Interviewed on June 16, acceptance on June 23.

did this last summer, respond to this thread if you have any questions and i'll try my best to answer them.
