UBS Summit to Success: Career Exploration Day NYC Event

I applied and was accepted to attend the UBS Summit to Success: Career Exploration Day event in NYC in a couple weeks. I'm an undergrad recruiting for IB SA 2027. Is this event worth it to travel to NYC and attend? Is it actually a selective event or does everyone get accepted/is allowed to attend?

Honestly, I wouldn’t spend the money or time traveling to NYC for this. The UBS “Summit to Success” is more of a broad marketing and info session than a truly selective recruiting event, and plenty of people get in. You can usually get the same content from their virtual sessions or by networking directly with bankers, without shelling out for flights and hotels. Unless you happen to be local or already in the city, the ROI just isn’t there. It’s better to focus your energy on prepping for technicals, building your resume, and setting up 1-on-1 chats with alumni who can actually move the needle for SA 2027 recruiting.
