UBS v. CS v. MS

Hey Everyone,

I have gotten offers to join UBS and CS, and have a superday for MS this week. These are all IBD SA Generalist. Here's my dilemma:

Ranking:
1. MS
2. CS
3. UBS

My perception of the firm based on interactions (people, culture, etc.):
1. UBS
2. CS
3. MS

What should I do?

UBS should be your last choice regardless of culture in today's environment. Maybe you could take CS over MS if you liked CS culture or fit better, but I wouldn't.

"They are all former investment bankers that were laid off in the economic collapse that Nancy Pelosi caused. They have no marketable skills, but by God they work hard."

Maybe you should rely on your own experiences and interactions than on the opinions of those who may or may not have actual industry experience. When you're stuck with the same group of people for 80-100 hours a week, culture matters more than you might think. And if you take a "lower tier" offer and you end up not liking it, you can always get the ft offer and leverage it to get somewhere else.

That said, congrats on the offers and good luck at MS.
