who gives a fuck about culture. get the ms offer and accept it
Forgot to mention: The MS superday is the same day as my UBS deadline. Going for MS essentially means canceling UBS (where the people really want me/I like them), while gambling on getting MS and having the CS offer in hand.
Not really a problem. Credit Suisse is a stronger bank, and MS might extend you an offer that night anyways.
You can always reach out to your contact at UBS and ask for an extension.
This really shouldn't even be a question. MS. CS is a great backup. If it was just UBS vs CS, then it would be CS.
UBS should be your last choice regardless of culture in today's environment. Maybe you could take CS over MS if you liked CS culture or fit better, but I wouldn't.

Thanks a lot for the insight guys. How about group placement? I would likely be placed into a stronger group at UBS, fairly strong at CS, and unsure at MS.
Maybe you should rely on your own experiences and interactions than on the opinions of those who may or may not have actual industry experience. When you're stuck with the same group of people for 80-100 hours a week, culture matters more than you might think. And if you take a "lower tier" offer and you end up not liking it, you can always get the ft offer and leverage it to get somewhere else.
That said, congrats on the offers and good luck at MS.
1st MS, 2nd option CS, and you can safely ignore UBS if u have offer with CS secured...
How is UBS even a consideration? Your insights into "culture" were probably very misled, the place sucks culture wise.
dude who the fuck are you to bash on front office jobs when you work at in crap credit research with a trash GPA???
Some organizational consultants say that happy workplaces lead to more productive workers which leads to better compensation for employees. Unfortunately, those consultants have the cause and effect reversed.
