Urgent - Interviewing during garden leave
Hi all,
Long story short I’ve been pushed to resign and am now interviewing during garden leave (not going to the office anymore).
Should I notify prospective employers that I have resigned, or keep it quiet and say I’m still employed (still factually correct for a few weeks)?
Am weighting the risk/benefits of being honest vs. not making it through the interviews because people know what’s up when you “resign” w/o something lined up.
Is it likely to come up during background checks for Assoc. level? What if they ask me stuff like “what are you working on right now” or my notice period / when I can start? I’ll need to be consistent in my communication
You don't have to disclose information they didn't ask for. legally, you are employed.
so you would say just fake it?
What if they say “what are you working on right now?”, “how is it going at your firm?” - it’s kind of a package communication deal, may be hard to not disclose anything factually wrong during the interviews ? Although hopefully that’s what I would aim for…
You got "pushed to resign"?
