US or UK, please help

Semi-target LAC in the US vs UCL in the UK. I'm a US Citizen.

At the LAC I'd be on a D3 sports team, but I'm in the middle of nowhere and reliant on alumni, but I'm not part of a frat. I've just finished my Freshman year.

At UCL I'd study for three years (BSc Management Science), work for a couple years, and then return to the US for my MBA to stay.

I know pay is worse in London, but education costs would be about $30-$50k less over the next 3 years. I'm at level B2 in Spanish, and I can achieve fluency with just a little more work.

I need to decide in the next 5 weeks what I want to do. Before I make a leap like this, I want to know what I'm getting into and if y'all think it's worth it. Plz help. Thx

Look, I'll answer your question as if I were talking to my daughter/son. You are about to enter into a fantastic chapter of your life, probably one of the best. You'll have the opportunity to grow as a person, intellectually, culturally, socially etc. in a nurturing environment. As always in life, your choice is very important, as it will mark your life, not only your career. While it is important to have the next step and big goals always in sight, your growth as an individual is central to the point. Each one is individual in its choices, priorities, inclinations, abilities etc. Perhaps the path for you to improve your sports or use these connections for later may be the most important for you. It seems however, that academically and in term of exit ops, London may give an advantage. In my view, London will give you two further opportunities: getting outside of the US for a long time (not an internship or assignment), which will enrich you culturally but also further grow your critical thinking. Also your views on yourself and the US, it's society and values. A second advantage, is the opportunity to be the outsider, with no real advantage vs someone from Italy, Russia, Asia, etc. That forms and will smithen you yonder. You are there to prove yourselve, put of your shell, in a foreign land Nd show the best of you. It will be challenging on both ends, with difficult questions and oftentimes conflicting thoughts. And exactly that, in your age, within that environment will be worth a lot. You'll also get the chance to travel Europe, not in three weeks, but enjoy it bit by bit. The cultural immersion is a great one, with the advantage of commanding the English language. In addition, London is a fantastic city, going through a tough patch (not the first one) and most experiences of people living there/lived in the past (mine included) is that it is an unforgettable city. I'd go for London, wouldn't think about it in one second. Good luck with your decision and keep us posted.
