What was your second round like?

8 30 min interviews. Half technical, half not. All interviews 1 on 1

I had a phone interview with Wachovia about a week and a half ago and was wondering when they were going to contact me for hopefully the next round of interviews. I haven't heard anything yet. What was your timetable for the interviews?

banking interviews are technical? I thought there are like many history and english majors doing banking?

Does anyone know if wachovia pays for airfare/hotel for superday?

i'm going too, got a call today, but no email yet. Either this weekend or next weekend. I have no details yet either. Are yall going for Capital Markets ? or are they different weekends?

the reason i ask about airfare/hotel is that superday is next Friday and they still haven't sent out any e-mails with info/reimbursement policies etc... so I was beginning to wonder

They don't usually figure that out until the week of. These are big banks and the $500 appreciation of airline flights isn't an issue for them. They'll put you in touch with their travel services next week, but you might want to email HR to find out the deal just in case.

Congrats Captk. Has anyone else heard from them? I have had multiple people that interviewed me send me an e-mail and try to recruit me for their group. But they always phrase the e-mail "if you get an offer we would love to have you in our group." Is this standard or do you think this is a very good sign? I have not heard anything from HR.

i had superday on the 17th, i received an offer about 5 days ago...interview was half technical half fit some technical questions: what is deferred tax asset/liabilty, how to value a company, what makes good LBO target, what is FCF, why do you add/subtract a decrease/increase in NWC in FCF

There are some absolutely stunning Wachovia bankers. I would have to say that Wachovia bankers are the best looking (girl) bankers on the street.

it seems like offers from wachovia are coming out sporadically. i know that they have a lot of superdays planned with a lot of kids. i interviewed this past weekend and have not heard anything yet from them. i really liked them when i was there.
